Our beautiful county is home to sandy beaches, wild moors and, some of the most marginalised people in society… wait what?
When people think of Devon, they often think of holidays. But what If you’re fleeing war and persecution in your home country? Or if you’re LGBTQIA+ and struggling to find your place in the world?
For some people, Devon represents hope, safety, and a fresh start. But only if we can make it like that. We’re battling against the status quo to create safe spaces.

With your help, we can continue providing English lessons, dedicated to helping non-English speakers so they gain essential language skills they need to navigate daily activities.
We will also be able to support anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+. We provide a free, confidential service. We can help navigate the benefits system, training and advice. In a big rural county people can feel cut off if they are in a minority group. You can help us to stop that.
We’re a small charity but with a dedicated team. Together we want to make North Devon a safe, inclusive and vibrant county.
