In October 2026, I will be taking part in two runs, the Chichester Half Marathon and Great South Run in Southsea to raise much-needed funds for the wonderful Community Wellbeing Garden charity in Petworth, West Sussex to help them support children and families at risk of food poverty.
This beautiful wheelchair-accessible garden helps nurture over 120 people each week, many with learning and physical disabilities, through therapeutic gardening, food growing and woodcraft activities.
Amongst the raspberries, wildflowers and butterflies, they run projects to support people with a wide range of needs, including mental ill-health, disabilities and isolation.
They also run a Harvest fresh food scheme with Petworth Foodbank, delivering fresh fruit, vegetables and bread to families at risk of food poverty.
The charity makes a genuine difference in people's lives, boosting mental and physical wellbeing, and helping people have access to healthy food and new skills.
All the funds I raise through my run will help support this excellent charity and the work it does in our community. Thank you for your support.
