Hi, Thank you so much for looking at our fundraising age. On World Autism Day, Saturday 2nd April 2016, Our group of amazing kids at HELPING HANDS are walking around the Peace Gardens to raise awareness for Autism with our lovely friends Sparkle Sheffield. Last week Grace, one of our young members, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) after a year long wait to be assessed. Several of our kids are on the autistic spectrum. We are fundraising to help sustain Helping Hands Parents and Carers Group to continue with their regular and varied low cost family activities. Helping Hands provide a safe non-judgemental environment for whole families to come together and play. They reduce the everyday pressures vulnerable children face which impacts negatively on their lives and school achievements. They aim to improve our children's communication and social skills, confidence and self esteem, by giving them a chance to relax and be themselves. They are also a self support group and improve the quality of life for parents and carers by providing the opportunity to come together, to support each other and to share ideas and experiences. HELPING HANDS - NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT WE ARE - STRONGER TOGETHER
