Keeping Yeleni Cancer Services Going

March 27th 2020. It's my 59th birthday today. I was thinking about birthday wishes and I realised that all  I really want to wish for is that local people with cancer can still have access to some kind of therapy and support during this very challenging time and afterwards. Yeleni Therapy & Support cancer charity currently has no funding coming in. They have had to postpone planned events and they are not receiving any grants or donations. Although the Centre is closed there are still bills to pay and they are setting up a Virtual Online  Support Service to include yoga and gentle exercise classes, relaxation meditation sessions, talking therapies such as counselling, hypnotherapy, nutritional therapy plus a befriending service and virtual coffee and chat club. Much is being done voluntarily by Yeleni therapists and staff which is so amazing. I just hope that they will still have a charity to go back to as their reserves will inevitably deplete as time goes by. I know it is a difficult time for many but if you feel you could support them and donate in any way at all I would be so grateful and it means that those people with cancer will still have Yeleni Therapy & Support Centre to go back to once it is safe to do so.
