On 19th September 2026, I am going to be taking on the most ludicrous challenge I've taken on yet; namely, the Seriously Brutal Duathlon.
Plenty of question marks remain over whether such a challenge is a good idea or not (for anyone, let alone for someone with knee caps as brittle as my own), but what cannot be denied is the worthwhile local cause its all in aid of.
I'm aiming to raise £2,500 money for Jubilee Swimming Pool who not only provide essential health and wellbeing opportunities for local people around South Bristol, but are also community owned and community powered. Everyone who knows me will know that I'm not the strongest swimmer (hence the duathlon, not triathlon), but I'm excited about my children become stronger swimmers there and just having a good old splash myself!
The purse strings are increasingly tight for many so I'd appreciate any donation you can spare!
