My name is Faith-Evangeline. I have been swimming since I was 4 years old at Jubilee Pool. I am now a few days shy of my 11th birthday. I have a passion and excitement for swimming. Jubileeathon is an annual fundraising challenge, held to save our community swimming facility from closure. I am very excited to contribute towards this year's "Jubileeathon" fundraiser for the first time.
My goal is to swim 100 x 25m lengths (2.5k) at least, in a bid to raise £250 or more for Jubilee Pool. It'll be great if I can raise £1 for every metre I swim. Your support no matter how small, would go a long way and certainly make a huge difference.
Thinking about donating?
Yes please! Your donation to the Friends of Jubilee Pool charity will help keep a vital community facility in service. The venue is also a gym and provides various activities for all ages throughout the year. It has been serving the whole community and nearby since opening in 1937. It'll be sad to see it closed and saving it will:
help to keep a vital neighbourhood facility open
help facilitate swimming lessons for the local schools
make it accessible to the local community
provide health benefits for all ages
All proceeds go directly toward essential pool repairs, ongoing maintenance, and facility improvements (such as contributing to the roof) to keep the community-run historic pool open.
Thank you very much in anticipation of your generous support towards this very worthy cause.
