It is proving difficult to not possible to secure funding for online classes.
This is understandable from one point of view. Funders and government want us to get out in the community. There is funding for live, in-person classes.
But during lockdown we connected with people who are unable to get to classes.
So we are asking for your help:
We are going to contact councillors, local MPs, funders and anyone who will listen. We want to spread an understanding - the importance of reaching isolated people and bringing them into a community, even if only online.
And can you spread this message? Especially if you know people who work in goverment or indeed represent us, locally or nationally?
