Donations on behalf of Valerie Long

Valerie (Val) Long passed away on 26 July 2018 following a brave battle with lung cancer. Val’s funeral will take place on 20 August 2018 at 11 am at Stourbridge Crematorium. Attendees are requested to be there by not later than 10:50 am. Following the service, a reception/wake will be held at The Talbot Hotel on Stourbridge High Street. There will be a book of remembrance and donations box. The family requests donations be made on Val’s behalf rather than flowers. Val was a Trustee of Dudley Mind, a charity she had a personal affiliation with after the support her son, Chris, was given for many years during his own battle with mental health. She too supported Chris unconditionally throughout his illness, despite some difficult times, as a loving and devoted mother. The family therefore requests that any donations be made to Dudley Mind either online (on this page), at the funeral (donations box), or personally.
